Although many of you may not be acquainted with the many English manors and war memorials designed by architect Sir Edwin Lutyens, you may be familiar with his famous hand-designed solid teak bench, otherwise noted as the Lutyens bench. Sir Edwin Lutyens is one of the greatest English architects of all time; at Revived and Restored, we have had the pleasure of painting some of his beautiful benches, which embody unique characteristics.

We are giving them a new aesthetic by painting them in any colour of your choice.  Choose a colour from a Farrow and Ball colour chart, and we can paint it. We make sure to give them an undercoat and two topcoats with mid-sheen finish paint, which provides an eggshell finish; the paint we use for outside has an “excellent resistance to weather and UV rays”. An absolute must for protecting your garden furniture! These benches are a distinctive summer staple for weddings and other events and will bring an idyllic and picturesque edge to your garden.

Once you have ordered, we will message you to ask for your colour choice. Our benches are painted to order, and the lead time is 10 weeks. (This is due to the process time to ensure your bench has the best chance of durability) 
 
​​Delivery - A delivery fee will be applied at checkout based on your location within the UK. Additional surcharges may be incurred if you reside in a congestion zone or an area that is challenging to access. If you are unsure, don't hesitate to get in touch with us before purchasing this item and send us your postcode via sales@ revivedandrestored.co.uk. Alternatively, you are more than welcome to collect from our workshop. At least two people will help load this end. Just contact us via email to arrange a suitable time for collection.*Please note * - This is a one-person delivery to the door, and your end will require help. Two-person deliveries can be arranged; however, there will be an additional charge. Please contact us if you require this service.
 
Aftercare
 
To keep your bench looking great for longer, we suggest wiping it down with a damp cloth using a mild detergent. We also recommend covering or moving the benches indoors during freezing or severe weather conditions (especially in the winter months).
